Franciscan Tree of Life

This Tree of Life is more than a work of art. It is a work of love.
Our Franciscan Tree of Life stands as a permanent symbol of gratitude for the love and generosity demonstrated by our many friends who make significant contributions to support the Mission of the Bernardine Franciscan Sisters. It was created to give friends like you the opportunity to make a lasting tribute to honor or memorialize loved ones, living or deceased, by inscribing their names on the tree.
THE BEAUTIFULLY SCULPTURED TREE graces the Heritage Foyer on the first floor of our Motherhouse in Reading, PA. The trunk of the tree is an original carving of our patron, St. Francis of Assisi. The branches rise to bronze and gold leaves and doves, while the base of the tree is surrounded by sculptured stones.

Your loving support, combined with the Sisters’ dedication to the Mission of Jesus, make each inscribed leaf a lasting gift of life. By realizing your generosity on this tree, you truly enter into the mission of the Bernardine Franciscan Sisters and contribute to the work of God in our world.
Your gift may be made individually or by a group of people whose total contributions amount to the following:

$1,000 - Bronze Leaf
$2,000 - Gold Leaf
$5,000 - Bronze Dove
$10,000 - Gold Dove
$25,000 - Benefactor Stone
$50,000 - Sponsor Stone
